Timmins High & Vocational School’s FIRST Robotics Competition Team [9592]
We are Blues Robotics, a team of dedicated students from Timmins High & Vocational School who compete in the global FIRST® Robotics Competition. Our mission is to learn, innovate, and inspire our community through robotics and STEAM.
Our team brings together students from all grades, supported by teachers, alumni, and community mentors. Together, we design, build, and program competitive robots while gaining skills in engineering, coding, teamwork, and leadership.
FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics program where students design, build, and program 125+ robots to play a unique game each year. Guided by professional mentors, students gain hands-on experience in engineering, coding, teamwork, and leadership while competing at regional and international events.
But FIRST® is about more than just robots:
Teamwork – Students collaborate to solve real-world challenges.
Innovation – Each season’s game inspires creativity and problem-solving.
Community – Teams are encouraged to share knowledge and promote STEAM in their local areas.
Future Skills – Students gain experience that prepares them for careers in technology, trades, business, and beyond.
FIRST’s mission is to inspire young people to become science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build skills, confidence, and a spirit of gracious professionalism.
