At the heart of Blues Robotics is a group of passionate students from all grades at Timmins High & Vocational School. Guided by dedicated mentors, we work together to design, build, and program robots that compete at the highest level in the FIRST® Robotics Competition.
Our student members take on a variety of roles within the team:
Design & Build – Turning ideas into working robots with hands-on engineering.
Programming – Writing the code that brings our robots to life.
Scouting & Strategy – Studying other teams and planning how to succeed on the field.
Outreach & Media – Sharing our story with the community and building sponsor relationships.
Every student is encouraged to explore new areas, learn real-world skills, and discover career paths in STEAM.
We are supported by teachers, alumni, and community mentors who volunteer their time and expertise. Our mentors guide us in areas such as engineering, project management, and professional skills, helping us grow into confident leaders.
Being part of Blues Robotics is more than just building a robot — it’s about teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience. We value creativity, inclusivity, and a drive to innovate.
